Over the past few years, I have been asked many times what motivated me to join LPT Realty. While there are several reasons, one recent experience brought it into clear focus for me, especially after LPT announced its Nasdaq ticker, LPA.
I was on a leisure trip to Los Angeles, casually dressed, and seated next to a man in first class. He wore a Rolex and a well-tailored suit, and he recognized me from my real estate work. As we talked, I learned he had just purchased a multi-million-dollar second home in the Hollywood Hills. Curious, I asked what had allowed him to achieve that. He explained that he worked in medical device sales for a company that went public. When the stock skyrocketed, he made $40 million.
That conversation reminded me of something financial advisors have told me for years: much of the wealth in America’s fastest-growing companies is created before they go public. The largest gains happen pre-IPO.
When I returned from that trip, I noticed LPT’s rapid growth and plans to go public. The idea of joining before the IPO was compelling, not because I expected a massive windfall like the man I met, but because it offered the chance to own a piece of something with strong growth potential before it reached the public market. Once a company goes public, much of the value has already been captured by insiders, venture capital, and hedge funds.
For real estate agents, this is an important distinction. If you’re with a brokerage that offers publicly traded stock, but the share price is declining, much of the upside may already be gone. At LPT Realty, the combination of fast growth and the remaining potential for value creation stood out to me. It is a unique opportunity for productive agents and team leaders who want to be part of something with both immediate impact and long-term wealth-building potential.
If you are considering how to grow your wealth in real estate, exploring a pre-IPO opportunity like this could be a meaningful step toward your financial future. If you have questions, just reach out. You can call me at 813-955-1079 or email me at andrew@theduncanduo.com. Talk to you soon!
